Dual Survival Brazil
The Discovery Channel survival format adapted to Brazilian terrain — two specialists, no script, weeks in the wild.
A Brazilian adaptation of Discovery Channel's flagship survival format — two specialists, opposing methods, a continent to cross.
Dual Survival Brazil took the format into terrain Discovery Channel hadn't shot before — Amazônia, Pantanal, Cerrado, the long hot spaces of the country's interior. Each episode dropped Coronel Leite and Leo Rocha into a different biome with one objective: get out alive.
Directed for Discovery Channel, with Rodrigo Astiz as general director of the series. Production ran across multiple states under heavy logistical pressure: working remote, supplies in by boat or air, no rescue option short of a helicopter call.
The job was to keep the documentary register intact while the format did its thing: real survival, real exhaustion, real terrain — and two characters the audience could actually follow.
