Long Story Short
A UFC Fight Pass original documentary series — intimate, short-form biographical portraits of fighters, built around the stories that shape them before and beyond the octagon.
Short biographical portraits of UFC athletes — the lives, the trajectories, and the weight each fighter carries into the cage.
Long Story Short is a UFC Fight Pass original documentary series. Each episode is a self-contained portrait of a single fighter: where they come from, what shaped them, and what the sport gave them in return. The goal isn't to explain the fighter through their record — it's to find the person underneath the performance.
Season 01 established the grammar of the series: short-form, cinematic, intimate. Season 02 follows four athletes — Mauricio Ruffy, Natalia Silva, Renato Moicano, and Melk Costa — filmed across Brazil and the United States, at home and inside the gyms that made them.
The project is directed and showrun by Nik Fonseca, produced in partnership with UFC and shot with small, location-first crews.
