Skimboard Nazaré

World champion Lucas Fink takes on the biggest challenge of his life: surfing the giant waves of Nazaré on a skimboard.

Skimboard Nazaré is a Red Bull original short film that follows Lucas Fink through a swell window on Praia do Norte — long lenses from the cliff, water housings in the shorebreak, drones at first light.

I originated the project as director — developing the concept, bringing in the production company, and opening the production on location in Portugal. Midway through, I was appointed Head of Content at Red Bull Brazil, and handed the director's chair to Loic Wirth, a director I trusted to carry the vision the rest of the way. From that point on I stayed with the film as Executive Producer — overseeing it end to end from the brand side.
